Happy World Bee Day for tomorrow! I've been so lucky to write quite a bit about these little creatures in my work. Bees are so fascinating and play such an important role in the natural world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did you know they have a special dance called the "waggle" which they use to communicate with each other? When a bee returns to the hive, it will use this dance or code to tell the other bees where to find the best flowers. The specific movements indicate the actual direction and distance of the flowers. They are so clever! And because they are such wonderful pollinators, bees play an incredibly important role in making sure we have food to eat. The truth is, our farms and agriculture system as we know it would collapse without bees and our other pollinator insects. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of the best things we can all do to help our bees is to avoid using pesticides in our environment. It's one of the reasons why I don't use chemicals in my own little garden and backyard. I prefer to let nature do its work.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
