My name is Justine and I’m a freelance writer, editor, content creator and communications contractor specialising in environment, sustainability, gardening, food, farming, tourism, heritage and the arts.
I’m available for regular writing, editorial and communications work for government agencies, NGOs, corporate clients, communication/PR agencies and magazines/media.
I’ve written and edited content for the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service, NSW Environment Protection Authority, Coffs Coast Tourism, Clarence Valley Tourism, One Million Women, North East Waste, Australian Association for Environmental Education, Community Early Learning Australia, Filtered Media, Surfing the Coldstream Festival and The Cheesemaking Workshop.
My feature articles have been published in SBS Food, Australian Traveller, RM Williams Outback, ABC Organic Gardener, Time to Roam, Go Camping, Sprout Magazine, Focus Magazine and City Permaculture.
Before becoming a freelance writer and editor, I worked in the environment, sustainability and ecotourism sector for 15 years. I have a degree in environmental science and postgraduate qualifications in environmental education from Griffith University Qld. I’ve worked on everything from promoting national parks, ancient world heritage rainforests and conservation volunteering to developing and delivering policy and projects on climate change, renewable energy, sustainability, water resources and agriculture for state and federal governments. You can find out more about my background on LinkedIn.
I’m based in the beautiful Northern NSW region and work remotely for clients all around Australia.
